My goal at Mocksville Senior Living is to help create a welcoming community where our residents feel at home
My name is Tasha Wilson, and I am honored to serve as the Executive Director at Mocksville Senior Living. I have proudly worked in the healthcare industry for the past six years, where I have developed a strong passion for serving others, supporting residents, and creating positive experiences for families. Stepping into the role of Executive Director is an exciting new chapter in my career. While I am new to this leadership position, I bring with me years of healthcare experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of those we serve. My goal at Mocksville Senior Living is to help create a welcoming community where our residents feel at home, our families feel confident in the care their loved ones receive, and our team members have the support and resources they need to succeed. I look forward to getting to know our residents, families, and staff and to working together to make Mocksville Senior Living a place we can all be proud to call home. I am excited about the journey ahead and grateful for the opportunity to serve our community.

I believe every day should have a little fun, a little laughter, and plenty of opportunities to make memories
Hi! I’m Coleen, and I’m so happy to be here at Mocksville Senior Living and Memory Care! I have a true passion for working with older adults, especially those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. I believe every day should have a little fun, a little laughter, and plenty of opportunities to make memories. I love crafts and creative activities, music and dancing, bingo and games, reminiscing, and storytelling. I enjoy getting residents involved and socializing, making people laugh, and finding activities that bring out each resident’s personality. My goal is to make sure our residents have something to look forward to every day! Whether it’s a craft, a game, music, exercise, or simply sitting down and having a good conversation, I believe the little moments can mean the most. I don’t just plan activities—I create moments, memories, smiles, and connections.

One of the most special parts of my career has been working in memory care
My name is Amanda Icenhour, and I am proud to serve as the Business Office Coordinator at Mocksville Senior Living. I have dedicated the past 30 years to working in healthcare, a career that has been incredibly rewarding and meaningful to me. I have been part of the ALG family for the past 16 years, where I have had the opportunity to work in many different roles. Each position has taught me something new, helped me grow professionally, and allowed me to build lasting relationships with residents, families, and coworkers. One of the most special parts of my career has been working in memory care. There is something truly meaningful about caring for and connecting with our residents, learning their stories, celebrating their lives, and making each day a little brighter. I believe every resident deserves to feel valued, respected, loved, and at home. I truly love what I do and feel blessed to have spent so many years in a field that allows me to make a difference in the lives of others. Memory care will always hold a special place in my heart and will always feel like home to me. I am grateful for the many wonderful people I have met throughout my 30 years in healthcare and look forward to continuing to serve our residents, families, and community with compassion, dedication, and heart.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is getting to know my residents on a personal level
I am a proud mother of two wonderful girls who inspire me every day. One of my greatest goals in life has always been to be someone they can look up to, and I hope that through my dedication, hard work, and compassion, I am making them proud. I have been working in healthcare for nine years, fulfilling a dream I have had since I was a little girl. Caring for others has always been a passion of mine, and I feel truly blessed to have a career that allows me to make a difference in the lives of others. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is getting to know my residents on a personal level, learning their life stories, and understanding the experiences that have shaped who they are. My memory care facility is more than just a workplace to me; it is a second home filled with love, compassion, laughter, and meaningful connections. Although dementia is a heartbreaking disease to witness, I believe there is still so much joy, love, and happiness to be found in every day. I love working with individuals living with dementia because, even through the challenges they face, there are still beautiful moments of smiles, laughter, fun, and connection. Every resident deserves to be treated with dignity, patience, understanding, and respect. I strive to look beyond the disease and see the person—recognizing their individuality, their memories, their feelings, and the unique person they have always been. I provide comfort, create meaningful moments, bring happiness, and make sure each resident feels safe, valued, loved, and at home. I am proud to be part of a profession that allows me to give back, build relationships, and make a positive difference in the lives of the people I care for every day.
